APBA INBOARD
Inboard racing, the largest category in the APBA, features both runabouts and hydroplanes, known for their speed, excitement, and loud engines. Classes range from 70 mph Jersey Speed Skiffs to 170 mph supercharged Grand Prix Hydroplanes. With racers as young as 14, the sport emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and a family atmosphere, fostering lifelong bonds among participants
Hydroplane Racing League
The Hydroplane Racing League was created in 2016 on what the Canadian Hydroplane Association (ACHA) had built over the years. Since 2011, the ACHA helped the sport grow by setting an efficient operational framework, implementing clear regulations and finding new racing sites. The HRL is now focused on developing the hydroplane racing industry and taking the sport to another level by giving it a strong image.
